Subterranean Street Society doesn’t beat around the bush, the Danish-Dutch alternative rock band brings raw rock with a poetic edge and has seen most of the world through their music. The trio incorporates different genres into their songs and sound, with clear influences taken from indie, folk, grunge and rock. In 2023 they leave their melancholic sound behind and storm on with strong protest songs that you simply cannot ignore. On ‘God Couldn’t Save The Queen’, singer Louis wonders why we still put royal families on a pedestal, and single ‘Focus On The Melody’ is a raging garage rock track about
the dying attention span of modern society. That sets the tone for album ‘BLEEP’, which is coming on the 8th of March 2024. During this solo concert lead singer Louis is stripping down some songs from the upcoming album and mixing them with older materials.

With their debut EP «  »Lazy Sunday Tapes » », Mannheim-based songwriting/producing duo KALK¥L was not only featured as a New & Notable Artist by BANDCAMP in 2022, but was also on rotation on several German Radio Stations like Deutschlandfunk Nova, Flux FM and Radio Fritz, among others. In 2023 KALK¥L are not only on the road as a band with Theresa
Stark (among others drums at Late Night Berlin Show Band, Megaloh) and Hilde Müller (among others keys at Mal Élevé). As a duo, Phillip Soddemann and Tom Woschitz present
their music the way their lo-fi pop sound was originally created – acoustically, with 12-string guitar, melodica, vocal harmonies and a ton of positive energy. In doing so, the two exhaust the honesty of this format and take the opportunity to rediscover the core of their songs over and over again together with the audience.

KALK¥L is here to put a positive twist on the condition called being human
