Gussie P Ft Prince LiviJah / Agobun Soundsystem
We are honored to present our first guest. Gussie P, was born and raised in South East London. At an early age he was infected by the reggae virus. After buying new releases in the London shops, soon he started to make his own dubplates. First doing regular jobs, around 1982 he got the opportunity working for Fashion Records. In 1984 he released his first production. Later in 1997 the labels Sip a Cup and Gussie P were born. Gussie is since then the Dub Defender of the UK Roots & Dub scene. Together with Mafia and Fluxy they produced a new, fresh militant roots style. They worked with many artists. To name some, Junior Delgado, Johnny Clarke, Danny Red, Earl 16, Twinkle Brothers, Michael Prophet. He will bring us a tough dubplate selection and together with Prince LiviJah they will showcase their latest and earlier work in a showcase style!
Prince LiviJah is the resident singer for Jah Youth Soundsystem but he got many releases on his name on various labels under which two on the Belgian Dub-Up Records. With Gussie P he made his first album in 2011 and 11 years later the second album was released. Together they will bring us the original UK Roots Vibes!
The Soundsystem for the night will be Agobun. Crossing the border with France once more Agobun is very well known in Belgium. Since 2016 they release their own productions. First came instrumentals on 7”. Later two albums and 12”s with singers like Vivian Jones and Tena Stelin. In 2020 they collaborated with Gussie P so who else to host the Soundsystem for the night.
