As the new season begins for the dancers in September after vacations, it’s time to be back on track with the practice. To boost the season with joy, energy, power and inspiration, The Flow Works is delighted to bring a true movement wizard to share their skills and open our new season Paris weekend workshops.

Daniel Sonic Rojas is stellar dancer, with acclaimed physical theatre & contemporary dance companies, several world champion breakdance titles and Red Bull crew-ship all being a part of his personal & artistic story (for more info see his CV https://danielsonicrojas.com/pagecv)

But Daniel is much more than a profi dancer, he is an embodiment shaman who discovered his own method of profound healing through movement. Daniel has tools and techniques of a professional dance artist as well as the knowledge and understanding of somatics & embodiment that turns movement into a therapeutic and self-empowerment tool – the vision that we at the Flow Works share with him – the dance skills/techniques enriched with deep body/mind listening and alignment enable the most beautiful & healing modality of dance artistry & improvisation. Elements of contemporary/street dance, animalistic locomotion, calisthenics, martial arts and integrative, holistic body/mind movement is Daniel’s signature practice.

The Flow Works is a young Dance Company that aims to support & develop the creative exchange amongst both professional and amateur dancers, fostering them to share the body of knowledge and the profoundness of the practice, making Dance less exclusive and more inclusive, making it accessible to wider public.

The activity of the Company centres around (1) providing training with top dance professionals open to various levels of dancers, including amateurs (2) engaging in movement research, as well as (3) developing performative practice

The workshop will take place at Micadanses Studio May B 15 rue Geoffroy l’Asnier (level -2), both days

The Timing:
Saturday 10:00-16:00 (We will make a short lunch break in the middle)
Sunday 13:00-17:00
