Truth ≠ Tribe is Croatia’s world fusion jazz rock quartet formed by the country’s renown composer and saxophonist Mak Murtić (Mimika orchestra, Antenat), composer and percussionist Nenad Kovačić (Antenat, Mimika, Chant Electronique, Damir Imamović), composer and guitarist Nenad Sinkauz (East Rodeo, Roj Osa) and tubist and composer Jurica Rukljić (Zagreb Symphony, Mimika).

Although an instrumental group, by taking inspiration from the traditional music of Croatia, notably with Mak Murtić playing the traditional instrument from the island Krk – sopila and Nenad Kovačić playing traditional percussions and by fusing these elements with the legacy of jazz, contemporary jazz and Croatia’s (and ex Yugoslavia’s) rock legacy most notably with the guitars of Nenad Sinkauz and an unusual tuba approach with electric guitar pedals by Jurica Rukljić, the band creates the statement of unity and social justice.
